Southern Shore Breakers scored four first period goals and coasted to a 7-2 win over Northeast Eagles as the East Coast Hockey League began its season Friday night.
Scott McCarthy and Stephen Oates tallied twice for the winners. Damian Ryan, Andrew Gale and Cory Blackmore added singles.
James Cadigan and Mike Halitzki replied for the Eagles.
