The St. John’s Caps scored five goals in the second period and added three in the third to beat Conception Bay CeeBee Stars 8-2 in Avalon East senior hockey play.
Justin O’Rielly and Lucas Deering scored two goals each for the winners. Mike Druken, Robert Barrett, Jeremy Dixon and Jon Caul added singles.
Cody Noseworthy and Tommy Snow replied for the CeeBee Stars.
That win moves the Caps to within one point of second place Bell Island
