Two games were played Sunday in the Corner Brook senior baseball play at Jubilee Field.
Veitch’s Physio beat Westside Monarchs 5-4. Alvin LaFitte pitches the win. He gave up four runs on seven hits. Michael Tavenor takes the loss. Kevin Lasaga and Brad Brewer of the Monarchs were the only players to have two hits each.
In the second game Veitch’s Hawks shutout Wingin It Marlins 14-0. The game called after five innings by the league mercy rule. Frank Humber gets the win on a three hitter. He recorded four strikeouts.
Daniel McCarthy is tagged with the loss.
Fred Prosper, Darren Colbourne and Jason Baker all had three hits each for Hawks.
