Veteran Corner Brook Baseball player Darren Colbourne came away with three awards at the Corner Brook Baseball League annual awards presentation Friday night.
Colbourne who plays with the Hawks was the league’s top batter, his team’s most valuable player and named the league’s most valuable player for the 2015 season.
Also Darren’s son and teammate Matt came away winning two awards. He was the league’s top pitcher with a 0.84 earned run average and also the most improved player in the senior loop for the past season.
Rookie of the year was Hawks Josh Oake. The Most Spirited player award went to Matt prosper of the Westside Monarchs.
The most Valuable players for the remaining three teams were Daniel McCarthy for the Marlins, Greg Whelan for the Aces and Greg Sharpe for the Monarchs.
The Most Valuable Player for the playoffs went to Steve Hynes of the Aces and Mike Simms of the Hawks.
