CLOWE 2A Fermeuse native has now been brought in as an assistant coach with the National Hockey League’s New Jersey Devils.

33 year old Ryan Clowe has been added to the coaching staff of the NHL team. Clowe’s playing  career came to an end after a series of concussions.

Clowe appeared in 56 games with the Devils from 2013-to-2015 before a series of head injuries forced him to walk away from the game with three years remaining on a five-year, $24.25-million contract. Clowe was drafted 175th overall by the San Jose Sharks in the sixth round of the 2001 NHL Draft.

In his career Clowe totaled 112 goals and 309 points in 491 games with the Sharks, New York Rangers, and Devils.
