CLEARY WINS TRIPLE CROWN OF SOFTBALL PITCHING

1 min read

Sean Cleary (Kelly’s Pub Molson Bulldogs) captured the Triple Crown of Pitching during the 2018 season in helping his team to a 2nd Place Regular Season finish.

The Harbour Main native finished the season with 11 Wins, 189 Strikeouts and a 1.50 Earned Run Average.

The Triple Crown of Pitching has been accomplished 10 times in the History of the St. John’s Senior Men’s Fastpitch League (1957-2018). There have only been two repeat winners of the Triple Crown of Pitching: Ward Gosse (2000 & 2005) and Sean Cleary (2013, 2017 & 2018).

Cleary becomes just the first pitcher in Senior League History to capture three triple crowns of pitching (2013, 2017 & 2018) and the first pitcher in Senior League History to capture back-to-back triple crowns of pitching (2017 & 2018).
