GANDER FLYERS CLINCH 1ST PLACE

Gander Flyers clinched first place and a bye into the finals of the Central West Senior Hockey League as they beat Clarenville Caribous 8-5 Sunday.

 

Jordan Escott and Chad Oake scored two goals each for the Flyers.

 

The best of seven final series will begin next weekend in Clarenville.

 

 

S A T U R D A Y 

 

Gander Flyers doubled the Grand Falls Windsor Cataracts 4-2 Saturday night in Central West Senior hockey play.

 

Jordan Escott led the Flyers with two goals with Ryan Matheson and Andrew Paul with singles.

 

Andrew Brennan and Rodi Short scored for the Cats.

 

Sunda the Flyers meet the Clarenville Caribous at 1:30 at the Steele Community Center in Gander.
