AVALON CAPITALS UPSET MOUNT PEARL BLADES

S A T U R D A Y

The Seventh place Roebothan Mckay and Marshall Avalon Capitals upset the first place Mount Pearl Blades 6-4 in St. John’s Junior Hockey League play Saturday.

The Capitals broke this one open in the third period with three goals after the teams were tied 3-3 after 40 minutes of play.

Cody Barron connected for three goals for the winners and Jared Lush, Henry Power and Evan Gallant contributed singles.

Colin O’Neill, Brady Normore, Adam Nolan and Michael Broders had the Blades goals.

In other games Saturday CBN over St John’s 4-1 and CBR blanked Trinity Placentia 8-0.

 

 

 

F R I D A Y

CBR Renegades skated to a 6-4 win over Southern Shore Breakers in St. John’s Junior Hockey play Friday.

Teammates Nick Gosse and Tyler Nickson scored twice each and Aaron Peach and Nathan Tucker had singles. Noah Dinn, Roland Power, Blake Dalton and Kerin O Driscoll scored for the Breakers.
