The Clarenville Caribous get the New Year off with a bang doubling the Gander Flyers 6-3 Saturday night.
Ryan Derosiers had a pair of goals for the winners with Keith Delaney, Brad Crann, Kevin Reid and Chris Sparkes with singles.
Brandon Hynes, Pat O’Keefe and Tom Hedges replied for the Flyers.
Clarenville had a 4-0 lead after the first and were up 5-2 going to the final frame
