CARIBOUS CENTRAL WEST CHAMPIONS

It was a thrilling end to the Central West Senior Hockey League best of seven final series.

Mason Reid scored in overtime and the Clarenville Caribous edge the defending champions Cataracts 4-3 to earned a berth in the 2017 Herder Memorial Trophy final.

The best of five series begins Saturday night in Harbour Grace with the East champions CeeBee Stars being the opponent for the Caribous.
