CANADA HAS TO SETTLE FOR BRONZE

Canada had to settle for the bronze medal at the World Softball championships. They fell 7-3 to Australia  in that game to take the bronze as Australia  move on to the gold medal game with the win. Brad Ezekiel was 2 for 4 in the medal game. Stephen Mullaley was two for three

Sean Clear started the game and takes the loss. He went four innings allowing seven runs on seven hits. He walked two and fanned five.

 

In the tournament Newfoundlanders played well. In team batting Brad Ezekiel finished second in team batting with a 421 average. Shane Boland batted 400 good for third in team batting  

 

Canada lost 12-11 to New Zealand Saturday. New Zealand  score eight runs in the fourth inning in this game.

 

Brad Ezekiel went for for five for Canada in this game with a home run and three runs batted in. Stephen Mullaley went two for five. Ryan boland was 0-3.

 

Devin McCullough took the loss for Canada.
