First place Holy Cross edged their arch rivals St. Lawrence Laurentians 2-1 Sunday in Challenge Cup Soccer action for their second weekend win.
Jake Warren scored what was the game winning goal at 62 minutes. Seven minutes in Steve Delong gave the Crusaders a 1-0 nothing lead. Stefan Slaney tied the game at the 40 minute mark.

 

 

S A T U R D A Y 

Mount Pearl shutout St.Lawrence 2-nothing in Challenge Cup Soccer play Saturday.
Justin Pickford scored what proved to be the gamne winner at 46 minutes and Tyler Forsey added the insurance marker at 82 minutes. Nick Powerf was in goal for the shutout.

Holy Cross get two goals from Jake Warren and blank Feildians 5-nothing. Mike Dunn, Steve DeLong and Zack Wade added the singles.
Thomas Pieroway in net for the shutout.
