Three games played Sunday in St. John’s Junior Hockey.

Mount Pearl Blades get five goals from five different players and defeat C-B-R Renegades 5-1. The Renegades were up 1-nothing after the first and Mount Pearl came back for a 2-1 lead after two periods.

Jared Ostroski , Stephen Predham, Brandon Bursey, Matt Rex and Bobby Upshall had the goals for the Blades. Lucas Lush and Nick Hayward replied for the C-B-R squad.

 

Celtics came away with a close 5-4 win over St. John’s Caps.

Graham Oldford, Luke Mackay, Alex Snow, Curtis Kavanagh and Bruce Power notched the Celtics goals.

Joey Trenholm tallied twice for the Caps with Chris Mallard, and  Liam Maher  with singles.

 

And Trinity Placentia Flyers get by Roebothan, McKay and Marshall Avalon Capitals with a 6-4 victory at Whitbourne.

Francis Pittman, Jordan Richards, Cody Wrice, Tyler Whittle, Jordan Mercer and Curtis Marsh scored the goals for the Flyers.

Brett Vokey and Andrew Paul had two goals each for the Capitals.

 

S A T U R D A Y

 

Three players scored two goals apiece and the Roebothan McKay and Marshall Avalon Capitals skate to a 10-4 win over the Southern Shore Breakers in Junior Hockey action Saturday night.

John Charles Snow, Andrew Paul and Cody Barron had the two goal performances. The single goals came from Josh Crane, Riley Griffin and Jack McCarthy.

Peter Kavanagh accounted for two of the Shore goals with Phil Corbett and Eric Diamond with the singles.

C-B-R Renegades  take the lead in the first period and go on to beat St John’s Caps 5-3 at the Robert French Memorial Stadium in Kelligrews.

Luke Tilley, Tyler Hennessey, Zack Hoskins, Lucas Lush and Carter Marrissen into an empty net accounted for the home team scoring.

Joey Trenholm, Lee Gulliver and Grant Nolan had the markers for the Caps.

F R I D A Y 

The Mount Pearl Blades erupted for three first period goals and then added one in the third to come away with a 4-nothing win over C-B-N Junior Stars Friday night at the Bay Arena.

Brett Davis recorded the shutout stopping all 32 shots fired his way.

Brandon Bursey, Bobby Upshall, Stephen Predham and Daniel Toope scored the goals for the Blades who win their fifth game of the season while the Stars were handed their sixth loss.

Trinity Placentia Flyers improved to 5-4 on the season Friday night as they downed the home team Southern Shore Breakers 4-1. The Flyers tallied twice in the first and second periods to take the win.

Four players shared in the winners scoring, Cass Warren, Jordan Mercer, Tyler Whittle and Dakota Warren. Peter Kavanagh had the lone goal for the Breakers.
