Newfoundland improved to 1-1 at the Scotties as they defeated Yukon 12-4 in their game. The Kelly Sharpe rink had three in the fourth, four in the seventh and three in the eighth to put this one away.

 

S A T U R D A Y

The Newfoundland and Labrador women’s curling team lost their opening game at the 2019 Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

The Kelly Sharpe rink were beaten 14-3 by Prince Edward Island in an eight end game that saw PEI score a big four in the fifth.

They face Yukon who also lost their opening game at 3:30 Sunday
