LAURENTIANS WIN, TIE IN CHALLENGE CUP PLAY

S U N D A Y 

 

 

Mount Pearl and St. Lawrence played to a 2-all tie in Challenge Cup action Sunday. Matthew Lahey’s goal at 71 minutes tied the game up for Mt. Pearl. Ronaldo Morris had their other goal.

In another game Feildians blanked this years new entry Paradise 3-nothing.Greg Reid, Emmanuel Dolo and  Marek Nakonieczny scored the goals and Breaden Sheppard and Jacob Dyer shared the shutout.

 

 S A T  U R D A Y 

St. Lawrence Laurentians get a goal from Tyler Forsey at 59 minutes and that was the winner as they edged CBS Strikers 2-1 in Challenge Cup Soccer play Saturday.  Brent Hennebury had the other Laurentians goal. Daniel Quinn scored for CBS.

 

In another game Paul Holley scored at 63 minutes and Mount Pearl earned a 1-1 draw with Holy Cross. Owen Sheppard ad given Cross a 1-nothing lead at 60 minutes.
