FORMER ST JOHNS MAPLE WANTS TO COACH ECHL TEAM

A former player with the St. John’s Maple Leafs is interested in coaching the new East Coast Hockey League team that will play in St. John’s.

 

Rich Chernomaz played two seasons with the St John’s Maple Leafs  in 1993 and 1994

 

He scored 45 goals and 110 points his first season and was named to the AHL First All-Star Team and won the Les Cunningham Award as the league’s most valuable player. He served as a playing assistant coach in 1994–95.

 

He has an extensive coaching career overseas in Germany
