RENEGADES TAKE SERIES LEAD WITH SATURDAY WIN

S A T U R D A Y 

 

The Assente CBR Renegades got goals defeated te C ad W Offshore Breakers 5-1 in St. John’s Junior Hockey semi final play Saturday night.

 

Nick David, Blake Fudge, Tyler Wall, Dominic Nugent and Lucas Lush scored for the winners. Liam Hynes scored the lone goal for the Breakers.

Goaltender Conor McCarthy made 33 for the Breakers while Shawn Hurley turned aside 23 shots in earning the win for the Renegades. The Renegades lead the best of seven semi final series 2 – 1.

 

F R I D A Y 

 

Mt. Pearl Blades defeated the CBN Stars 6 -1 Friday night in Game two of their best of 7 series played in Bay Roberts.  The Blades now lead that semi final series two games to none.

 

Mitch McGrath scored twice for the Blades with singles from Micheal Broders, James O’Brien, Brady Normore and Bobby Upshall.  

 

The lone goal for the Stars was scored by Luke Akerman.  

The series resumes Sunday night at the Glacier in Mt. Pearl. Start time 7:15pm

 

CBR Renegades downed Southern Shore Breakers 11-5 in another semi final game.

Tyler  Nickson led the winners with three goals.Michael Lawrence ,Tyler Wall. Blake Fudge all ad two goals wit singles from Brad Connors and Nick David.

 

Liam Hynes had two goals for the Shore while Donovan Warren, Shayne Kavanagh and Blake Dalton added singles.
