CAPITALS BEAT CAPS IN JUNIOR HOCKEY

Ice hockey under the lights

 

Roebothan McKay and Marshall Avalon Capitals scored three first period goals and hung on for a 4-3 win over the St. John’s Caps in junior hockey play Monday night.

Jake Abbott, Matthew Caines, Jacob Eddy and Brett Vokey with the game winner at 11:48 of the second scored for the winners.
Michael Williams, Kyle Rumsey and Blake Mercer replied for the Caps.

Mount Pearl Blades scored twice in the second and third periods and defeated Southern Shore Breakers 5-3 in St. John’s Junior Hockey League play Friday night.

 

Mitch McGrath, Michael Broders, Stephen Predham. Jared Ostroski and Grant Thompson shared in the scoring for Mount Pearl.

 

Brandon Houlihan, Shayne Kavanagh and Noah Dinn replied for the Breakers.
