The St. John’s Canadian Basketball professional team now has its official nickname.
The team will be known as the St. John’s Edge and the team’s colours will be blue and gold.
Many people are wondering about the team and who will be playing for the Edge
Well it looks like a Newfoundlander who has played basketball at the college level in the United States with the University of Hawaii and with Canada’s National team could be in an Edge Uniform.
In a tweet from Carl English on Monday it appears he will be headed home and will be the local boy on this team. His tweet reads
“Let’s just say I’m in great shape, just back from training in and will be signing somewhere very sooooon”
And this comes on the same day that the team released its colours and nickname.
English is a native of Patrick’s Cove .
