Rona Storm pitcher Daniel Toope silenced the Shamrock bats Saturday in Intermediate Baseball semi-final play. Toope tossed a three hitter showed great control walking one and struck out five for the win as the Storm edged Shamrocks 1-nothing.
Ben Murphy went the distance and was tagged with the loss. He was roughed up for eight hits. He walked two and struckout five.
Blake Fudge of the winners and Brad Porter of the losers both had two for three performances in this game

Shamrocks and Holy Cross won their opening games in St. John’s Intermediate Baseball semi final play Friday night at St. Pat’s.
First the Shamrocks beat Rona Storm 10-0 in the first game of that series.
Graham King goes the distance to get the win. He gave up two hits didn’t walk a batter and struck out eight.
Tyler Hennessey started for the Storm and took the loss. Mike Molloy and Issac Doyle also saw duty in relief.
Joel Abbott was the games top batter with two hits including a double.
Holy Cross outlasted Knights 13-10.
David Edwards started and went six innings for the win. Philip Edwards came on in relief.
Colin Hunt started for Knights and was relieved by Kobe Weir who was tagged with the loss after being touched up for six runs. Zack Noseworthy and Stephen Crooks also saw mound duty.
David Edwards of Holy Cross was the games top batter with a perfect three for three performance at the plate and driving in two runs.
