Memorial University Sea Hawks women’s soccer team started its season off with two shutout wins.
Saturday Memorial shutout Mount A 9-nothing. They scored six second half goals in this contest. Emily Bailey, Lauren Taylor and Nicole Torraville scored two goals each for Memorial. Sydney Walsh faced two shots on goal to record the shutout.
In the second game Sunday Memorial scored three second half goals for a 3-nothing win. Jan Pope, Jessie Noseworthy and Teri Murphy scored for Memorial. Sydney Walsh recorded her second shutout of the weekend.
