Provincial Baseball is in full swing this coming weekend with four different Provincial Championships scheduled to take place in St. John’s, Mount Pearl and Corner Brook.
Midget AA Provincial
– St. John’s and historic St. Pats Ballpark host the Sportscraft Midget AA Provincial Championships. The host Capitals welcome Mount Pearl, Paradise, CBS, Grand Falls Windsor and Corner Brook to St. Pats Ballpark for the weekend, all vying to claim the Provincial Championships. Action gets underway Friday morning at 10:00 AM with St. John’s taking on Mount Pearl.
Bantam A Provincial
– Mount Pearl welcomes the St. John’s Capitals and Paradise Phantoms to the Team Gushue Complex for the Sportscraft Bantam A Provincial Championships. Action gets underway at 11:00 AM on Friday morning with the Blazers and Caps squaring off.
14U Girls Provincial Championships
– Corner Brook, entering two teams in the Championship, plays host to the Sportscraft 14U Girls Provincial Championships at Fred Basha and East Side Fields. The hosting Barons welcome St. John’s, Mount Pearl, Grand Falls Windsor, Pasadena and Bay St. George to town with the teams looking to claim the Provincial Championship. Action gets underway at 9:00 AM on Friday morning at both Fred Basha (Corner Brook #1 vs Pasadena) and East Side (Bay St. George vs. Corner Brook #2)
Mosquito AAA Provincial Championships
– Corner Brook is also set to host the Sportscraft Mosquito AAA Provincial Championships this coming weekend at Little Jubilee Field. The host Barons welcome the Grand Falls Windsor Braves, Mount Pearl Blazers and St. John’s Capitals to town with all teams vying for the Provincial Championship. Action begins at 3:00 PM on Friday afternoon with the host Blazers taking on the Grand Falls Windsor Braves. The winner of this tournament will earn the right to represent the province at the Baseball Atlantic 11U AAA Championships in mid-September.
