2 NL ATHLETES HEADED TO ATLANTIC UNIVERSITIES

Two Newfoundland athletes will be attending universities on the mainland and furthering their careers.

Tyler Boland who finished his career in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League will be attending the University of New Brunswick.

He will join the Red Devils for the 2017-18 season.
Boland played four seasons with Rimouski Oceanic and had 97 goals and 115 assists in 246 regular season games

 

 

 

And Danny Rice who hails from Torbay and plays with Holy Cross in St Johns Intermediate and Senior Baseball is headed to Prince Edward Island.
He has been awarded a scholarship to play baseball at Holland College .
Rice has represented Newfoundland at national tournaments and this year at 21 and under nationals as well he has attended a Blue Jays Camp in Toronto.
