7TH INNING BIG FOR ACES WIN OVER HAWKS

Aces score a pair of runs in the top of the seventh inning and record a come from behind 13-12 win over Hawks in Corner Brook senior baseball play Friday night.

 

David Hardy one of three pitchers who saw mound duty for the Aces gets the win. He tossed four innings gave up four runs on five hits. Greg Whelan and Scott Hynes also pitched for the Aces.

 

Jay Warford goes two innings for the Hawks and gets tagged with the loss. He gave up four runs on five hits. Barrett Anderson and Brandon Lockyear pitched as well for the Hawks.

 

Rob George, Greg Whelan, Hynes and Mark Lombard all had two hits each for the Aces.

 

Mike Simms and Ian Griffin of the Hawks were the game’s top hitters with three hits each.
