FEILDIANS WIN CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP

Feildians won the Club Baseball championship and the Ken Dawe trophy as they defeated Holy Cross 9-7 in the championship game Sunday.
Feildians scored five runs in the third added two in the fourth and fifth innings. Holy Cross scored three in the sixth and four in the seventh.
Riley King went the distance for the win and allowed six runs in seven hits. He walked four and fanned four.
Adam Janes started for the Crusaders and pitched three and two thirds innings. He gave upo five runs on seven hits walked three and struckout three.
Evan Reid came in relief and tossed three and a third innings allowing for runs in five hits walked three and fanned two. Gerry Stone pitched the final two thirds of an  inning.
Keegan Spurrell of Feildians was the top batter in the game with three hits in five place appearances which included two doubles.

Grant Vincent and Adam Warren both had two hits. Steve Crouse and Ron French had two hits each for Cross.

Holy Cross committed five errors in this contest.
