CENTRAL WEST HOCKEY HANDS OUT SUSPENSIONS

1 min read

The Central West Senior Hockey League championship game is set for Friday night in Grand Falls Windsor at the Joe Byrne Memorial Stadium. The defending champions Cataracts and the Clarenville Caribous meet at eight  o clock..

And with that game the Cataracts will not have head coach Tom Coolen on the bench and the Caribous will be without trainer Scott Maidment. Both were involved in what has been called a bottle throwing incident in game six in Clarenville.

Whoever wins the Central West title won’t have much time to celebrate. The best of seven Herder Memorial Trophy final series begins Saturday in Harbour Grace at 7:30 when the winner place the Conception Bay CeeBee Stars. Game two will be played Sunday at two o clock also in Harbour Grace.
