Southern Shore Breakers evened their best iof seven Avalon East semi final with Northeast Eagles at two games apiece with a 2-1 win Sunday night.
Cory Blackmore’s goal in the second period proved to be the winner for the Breakers. Morgan Warren had the other marker. Chris Thorne had the goal for the Eagles.
Ben Goss stopped 39 of 40 for the Southern Shore.
Chris Thorne replied for the Eagles and Mark Yetman made 42 saves.
Game 5 in the best-of-seven series goes next Friday, 8 p.m., at the Jack Byrne Arena in Torbay.
Monday, the CeeBee Stars take a 2-1 series lead into Game 4 of their best-of-seven semi against the St. John’s Caps at the Goulds Sports Arena. Puck drop is 8:30 p.m.

The Conception Bay CeeBee Stars have taken a two games to one lead over St John’s Caps in Avalon East Hockey semi final series with a 3-2 win Saturday night.
Colin Feehan scored the series leading and game winning goal at 5:51 of the extra session lead the CeeBee Stars to the come-from-behind win.
Kenny King scored a goal in the third period that forced the game into the extra session. Cody Batten had the other CeeBees Star goal.
John Caul and Mitch Flynn accounted for the Caps goals.
Game four will be played Monday night, at 8:30, at the Goulds Arena.
Meanwhile Sunday night at the Southern Shores Arena at seven o’clock Northeast Eagles take a 2-1 series lead into game four of that best-of-seven semi against the Southern Shore Breakers .

The Northeast Eagles have taken a two games to one lead in their Avalon East Hockey League semi final with Southern Shore Breakers.
Friday night the Eagles downed the Southern Shore Breakers 5-2.
Chris Thorne, Chris Mooney, Steve Yetman, Dan Cadigan and Andrew Temple scored for the Eagles.
Scott McCarthy and Andrew Marshall connected for the Shore.
