BLYDE,ROBERTS WIN JR CURLING CROWNS

CURLING BRUSHGreg Blyde and his rink of third Liam Gregory, Second Ian Withycombe and lead Connor Stapleton are the provincial junior men’s curling champions.
Blyde and his rink defeated two time defending champion  Greg Smith 11-4 in the final game.

Blyde’s rink scored five in the fourth end to put this one away. They also went undefeated with a 5-0 record in the round robin section.
Blyde will represent the province at the Nationals in Esquimalt BC January 21st to 29th.

 

Rebecca Roberts scored two in the tenth end and defeated defending champion Brooke Godsland 7-5 to win the women’s junior curling championship.
Roberts team of third Chantal Newell, second Lauren Barron and lead Sydney Parsons will now also head to the nations In BC in January.
