North East Eagles scored four goals in the first period and go on to trounce Bell Island Blues 9-3.
Matt Squires scored three goals for the Eagles with Andrew Temple, Chris Ryan, Liam Myers, Chris Sparkes, Chris Thorne and Chrtis Blackwood with singles.
Morgan Warren had all three goals for the Bell Island squad.
Colin Feehan scored with 28 seconds left on the clock and the CeeBee Stars beat St John’s Caps 6-5.

The Northeast Eagles extended their unbeaten streak to three games Friday night, downing the Bell Island Blues 6-2 in Avalon East Senior Hockey League play.
Matt Squires Liam Myers, Mark Chaplin, Matt Walsh Blackwood and Steve Yetman shared in the scoring for the Eagles. Chris Sparkes and Andrew Temple had two assists apiece.
Garrett Murphy and Ryan Power had the Bell Island goals.
Mark Yetman stopped 23 shots for the win while Evan Giles faced 36 shots in net for the Blues.
These same teams go at it again Saturday night, 7:15, at the Conception Bay South Arena in Kelligrews. Also Saturday at 7:30 the St. John’s Caps (5-8-2, 12 pts) meet the CeeBees Stars (12-2-1, 25 pts) at the Danny Cleary Community Centre.
