The St. John’s Senior Men’s Fastpitch Softball League has named their player of the month for July.
Kenny Gosse of the NTV Hitmen had a great month. He played in seven league games had 13 hits in 25 plate appearances for a .520 batting average. He scored nine runs had one double and one home run and eight runs batted in.
Gosse helped his team come away with five wins and three losses in the league play.
In a game on July 21st Gosse went five for five in a game against Kelly’s Pub Junior Canadians. He hit a game winning walk off three run homer and finished that game with four runs batted in.

The Intermediate Fastpitch player of the month is infielder/catcher Troy Leonard of LaFontaine Club Bud Light. He appeared in three league and four intermediate provincial games and played in seven games with 11 hits in 22 at bats for a .500 batting average. He scored six runs, had two doubles two triples and three home runs for 11 runs batted in.
On July 4th he went four for four against CBC and scored three runs had two doubles and hit two home runs a solo shot and a two run homer and five rbi’s.
