The Avalon East Senior Hockey League handed out its awards for the past season.
League top scorer Chris Sparkes of the Northeast Eagles was named the league’s most valuable player for the season.
Brad Yetman of the Eagles was named coach of the year. Dylan Sheldon of Southern Shore was named top defenseman, Chris Mooney of northeast took home the most gentlemanly and effective player award.
Top defensive forward award went to Andrew Marshall of Southern Shore, Andrew Fenwick of the CeeBee Stars claimed the rookie of the year award.
The top goaltender award goes to Kyle Downer of the St Johns Caps.
