Cam Fergus of the first place Grand Falls Windsor Cataracts was a double award winner as the Central West Senior Hockey League announced its regular season award winners Sunday.
Fergus was named the league’s Most Valuable Player for the Regular season. He also won the league’s individual scoring championship. Fergus played 19 of his teams 22 games this season. He scored 23 goals and added 24 assists for 37 points and the scoring title.
Luke Gallant also of the Cataracts was named the league’s top defenceman. Gallant a native of Bedford Nova Scotia played in 22 games and had three goals and 23 assists for 31 points. He was assessed just 214 penalty minutes in the season.
Tom Coolan the coach of the Cataracts was named the league’s coach of the year.
