S U N D A Y 

Morgan Ellis notched a pair as the St. John’s IceCaps snapped a five-game losing skid with a 6-4 win over the Toronto Marlies Sunday.

Markus Eisenschmid scored a highlight reel shorthanded goal for his first pro tally while Daniel Carr, Lucas Lessio and Gabriel Dumont – into an empty-net – also scored for the home side. Darren Dietz picked up a pair of assists and Ryan Johnston, in his second pro game, notched his first pro point.

Zach Fucale stopped 30-of-34 shots in the win, as the IceCaps split the two-game series with the rival Marlies.

The IceCaps head out on a six-game road trip beginning Wednesday night in Bridgeport against the Sound Tigers

The Ice Caps lose their fifth straight game at Mile One since starting the second half on home ice. This time the Toronto Marlies double the Ice Caps 6-3.

Charles Hudon, Bud Holloway and Daniel Carr with the Ice Caps goals.

Eddie Pasquale started in the nets for the Ice Caps and played 18 minutes allowing four goals on eight shots. Zach Fucale finished the game.
