S A T U R D A Y

 
There were three games played in the St. John’s Junior hockey League Saturday night.
Peter Kavanagh scored a hat trick leading Southern Shore Breakers past Celtics 6-4. Daniel Alyward, Jarrod Avery and Justin David had the other goals
Jonathan Cooper, Josh Tayor, Liam O’Rielley andScott Cahill replied for the Celtics.

Brandon Tilley and Mitch King scored the goals and C-B-R Renegades edged Trinity Placentia Flyers 2-1. Jordan Mercer had the goal for the Flyers.

Three players shared in the scoring as the St. John’s Caps edged the Roebothan, McKay and Marshall Avalon Capitals 4-3. The Caps goals were scored by Jason Michaud, Ed Rumsey and Zac Cooper. Iain Gamba and Ben Cleary tallied the goals for the Capitals.

Mount Pearl scored four second period goals and come away with a 9-2 win over Southern Shore Breakers on Friday night.
Michael Broders scored twice for Mount Pearl. The single goals were added by Grant Thompson who also had three assists, Mike Barnes, Stephen Predham, Liam Kennedy, Brandon Bursey, Brad Mitgchelmore and Danny Toope.
Mark Reardigan and Peter Kavanagh had the goals for ther Shore.

There was also a game at Harbour Grace and the Roebothan, McKay and Marshall Avalon Capitals edged C-B-N Stars 4-3.
