EAGLES BACK IN FIRST

AVALON EAST SR HOCKEY

The Northeast Eagles will head into the Christmas Break in first place in the Avalon East Senior Hockey League.

The Eagles skated to a 5-2 decision over the second place St. John’s Caps Monday night at the Goulds Arena.

Chris Mooney had two goals for the Eagles with singles from Chris Sparkes, Tyler Walsh, and Dan Cadigan.

Justin O’Rielly and Pat Parfrey replied for the Caps.

The Eagles are first with 28 points and the Caps have 26 followed by the Southern Shore Breakers wgho have 16 and Bell Island next with 13. The CeeBee Stars are last with seven points.
