The standings remain close in the Central West Senior Hockey League following weekend play. The Gander Flyers get a split with Clarenville getting a 10-3 win Sunday. Andrew Ryan, Ray Dalton and Jordan Kelly fire two goals each for the winners. Jordan Escott, Alex Gill, Mitch Oke and Wes Welcher added singles. Mason Reid, Andrew Sweetland and Ken Mahoney replied for the Cataracts.

The Corner Brook Royals get a split with the Cataracts winning 4-1 Sunday. Dane Marshall, Brandon Hynes, Ryan Penney and Mike Hynes scored for the Royals. Steve Yetman had the lone Cats goal.

 

 

 

 S A T U R D A Y 

The first place Cataracts edge the Corner Brook Royals 2-1. Brandon Bussey and Michael Brent scored for the Cats. Its the 10th win of the season for the Cataracts. They are now undefeated in five road games this season. Its the second home loss for the Royals.

The Clarenville Caribous edged the Gander Flyers 3-2 in a shootout after trailing 2-nothing at one point in the game . Veteran Ray Dalton and Andrew Ryan scored for Gander in regulation time . Brandon Roach had both the Caribous goals in regulation time. Its the third road win for the Caribous this season and the third regulation time loss at home for the Flyers.
