The first place North East Eagles picked up their 10th win of the season Sunday with a 5-2 decision over the Southern Shore Breakers at the mobile Arena

The Eagles broke this one open early with four unanswered goals in the opening frame and then held a 4-1 lead going to the third period.

The scoring was spread out in this game with singles from Chris Blackwood, Shayne McGrath, Chris Mooney, Chris Sparkes and Daniel Cadigan.

Scott McCarthy and Shayne Kavanagh replied for the Shore.

 

 

S A T U R D A Y

The Ceebee Stars pick up their first win in regulation time as they edge the Southern Shore Breakers 5-4. Kenny King scored a pair of goals for the CeeBee Stars. Robert Slaney, Cody Roche and Tommy Snow with singles. Michael Chafe, Damian Ryan, Dylan Sheldon and Jeremy Nicholas replied for the Shore.

The St. John’s Caps skated to an 8-1 win over Bell Island. Robert Barrett had three goals and an assists with teammate Jacob Pitcher with a pair of goals and an assist. Jeremy Barron had a single goal and three assists and Brandon fewer and Jeremy Dixon added the other single goals. Robbie Perks had the Bell Island marker.

North East Eagles scored three third period goals and down C-B-N CeeBee Stars 6-2 in action Friday night at Jack Byrne Arena.

Chris Mooney scored twice and added an assist for the winners. Bryan Clarke, Chris Sparkes, Scott Marshall and Danny Connolly added singles.

Andrew Fenwick had both goals for the CeeBee Stars.
