St. John’s baseball remembered umpire Steve Phillips who passed away last week. The Umpire Association unveiled a sign that will be added to the outfield fence in memory of Steve.
All Members of the Umpires Association will wear arm bands to remember their colleague.
As well members of Gonzaga Vikings will wear a patch on their Jersey’s with SP on it to honour Steve who was a member of the Gonzaga team for many years and a standout shortstop.
