William Nylander scored at 1:15 of overtime and the Toronto Marlies edge the st Johns Ice Caps 9-8 in a wild one at Mile One. The Ice caps were up 6-4 after two periods of play but the Marlies outscored the ice caps 4-2 in the third to tie the game and force OT.

Christian Thomas scores just under three minutes into the overtime and St Johns Ice Caps edge the Toronto Marlies 3-2 at Mile One.
It was Thomas sixth goal of the season. Zach Fucale passed to Thomas just inside the Ice Caps blue line. He skated into Marlies territory, waited and fired a wrist shot past Garret Sparks for the win.
Darren Dietz and Charles Hudon had the other Ice Caps markers.
