The Ice Caps get a split with Bridgeport and pickup three points. Sunday Bridgeport win 3-2 in a shootout but because the game went to the shootout the Ice Caps get one point.
Mark Barberio and Michael McCarron scored in the game for the Ice Caps. McCarrons goal at 19:58 of the third forced the game into overtime and eventually to the shootout.
The Ice Caps won 5-4 on Saturday night. Daniel Carr, Christian Thomas, Charles Hudon, Nikita Scherbak and Bud Holloway shared in the scoring.
This ended the six game home stand for the Ice Caps and they head out on the road .

The St. John’s Ice Caps defeat the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 5-4 in the first of two games at Mile One. Daniel Carr, Christian Thomas, Charles Hudon, Nikita Scherbak and Bud Holloway scored the goals for the Ice Caps.
The teams meet again Sunday at 4.
The Ice Caps who are in the North Division have a 5-1-1-1 record for 11 points.
The Sound Tigers are in first in the Atlantic Division. They have a 5-2 record for ten points.
