The St. John’s Privateers get a split with the St. John’s Maple Leafs in their weekend major midget hockey league season games. Sunday the Privateers came away with a 3-1 decision.
Max French, Patrick Pilon and Adam Nolan provided the offense for the winners.
Tyler Wall gets the Maple Leafs marker.
Joel Abbott stopped 33 shots to get the win in goal for the Privateers.

James Locke scored three goals and added an assist and the St. John’s Maple Leafs downed the St. John’s Privateers 8-5 in major midget hockey play Saturday.
Kyle McGrath, Curtis Heffernan, Tison Ryan, Tim Noble and Dylan MacKenzie added singles.
Jack Keough, Drew Bennett, Chris Murphy, Stephan Mallard and Brad Connors replied for the Privateers.
Same teams meet Sunday at ten o clock at Glacier.

The St. John’s Privateers got their weekend off to a great start. In a wild third period the Privateers come away with an 8-3 win over the TriPen Osprey.
And Sunday at the Glacier at ten o’clock the Leafs and Privateers meet again. And at Noon Central Ice Pak and the Osprey play a return engagement at the Bay Arena in Bay Roberts.
