Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced that 17 players have been reassigned to the St. John’s IceCaps.

There are still 40 players at Montreal’s camp (24 forwards, 13 defensemen, 3 goaltenders).
The newest IceCaps will travel to Newfoundland Sunday to continue their training camp. St. John’s will play three pre-season games against the Toronto Marlies on October 1st, 2nd and 4th.
