The Montreal Canadiens have signed defense man Travis Brown to a one year two way contract.
Brown was originally drafted by Chicago. He has played the past four seasons with Moose Jaw Warriors and Victoria Royals of the Western Hockey League.
He is expected to start the season with the St. John’s Ice Caps.
Last season the 21 year old had 18 goals and 57 points in 71 games.
