Hawks will meet Aces for the 2015 Corner Brook senior baseball championships.
The Hawks get a five hit pitching performance by Colin Wood and they shutout Monarchs 7-0 in the fifth and deciding game of the best of five semi-final series. The Monarchs had won the first two games of this series but the Hawks roared back to take the next three.
Wood showed perfect control as he did not walk a batter and struck out six.
Myles Vincent takes the loss. He started and went four and two thirds innings and allowed five runs but did not allow a hit. He had control problems as he walked five. He did strikeout eight . Matt prosper and Dwayne Keough also saw mound duty for Monarchs.
Aaron Sheppard on the Monarchs was the games top batter going two for three.
