CHALLENGE CUP AND BREENS JUBILLEE RESULTS HERE

S A T U R D A Y

Holy Cross Kirby Group defeated CBS That Pro Look 1-0 Saturday night  in the Johnson Insurance Challenge Cup semi final.  Jacob Grant scored the lone goal early in the second half. Sam Hawco recorded the shutout.

Holy Cross will now meet Feildians in a rematch of Friday’s first versus second place  page playoff, which was won by Feildians. 

The championship game will take place at King George V pitch at 4pm. It will be preceded by the regular season awards at 3pm

 

 

Feildians defeated the Calvin Randell CBS Strikers 4-1 at KGV in Breen’s Jubilee Trophy semi final action Saturday  afternoon to advance to Monday’s championship game. 

Alyssa Jenkins, Stacey Hanlon, Zoe Rowe and Alex Murphy (PK) scored for Feildians.

Lauren Gover had the lone marker for CBS. 

Feildians gain a rematch with first place and defending champion Holy Cross Avalon Ford at one o’clock  Monday at King George Fifth Pitch.

Regular season awards will be handed out at noon. 

Coming up at six Saturday night, Holy Cross men play CBS That Pro Look in the men’s semi final. Holy Cross lost to Feildians in Friday’s playoff but have a second life.

CBS advanced to the semis with a 2-1 overtime win against the St. Lawrence Laurentians.

The Johnson Insurance Challenge Trophy playoffs started Friday night with two games

In the first meets second place team game, Feildians defeated defending champion Holy Cross 3-1.  Feildians goals came from Felly Elonda who tallied twice and Ben Collingwood who added an insurance marker  

Holy Cross’ lone goal came from Tyler Kirby 

Feildians advance directly to the championship game on Monday. 

Holy Cross have a second life and will play in Saturday’s semi-final against CBS who won the third place against fourth place team  game.  

Third against Fourth place game. 

CBS defeated St. Lawrence 2-1 in overtime.  The teams were tied at 1-1 after regulation time after a CBS own goal, and a goal from Kyle Ryan.  Ryan Thistle of CBS broke the deadlock at the one minutes and seven second mark

CBS advance to Saturday’s semi-final against Holy Cross

St. Lawrence have been eliminated.

BREENS JUBIEE WOMEN’S SOCCER PLAYDOWNS

There were no Jubilee Trophy games Friday, but the Jubilee Trophy semi-final will take place at three o’clock Saturday (Feildians vs. CBS Calvin Randell Strikers).  The winner of this game will play Holy Cross women on Monday.
