3 mins read

Sport Newfoundland and Labrador has announced the winners for this year’s Provincial Annual Awards. While the Annual Awards Gala will not be taking place in 2020 due to challenges presented by COVID-19, a celebratory video has been launched this evening to acknowledge and pay tribute to these athletes.

“Sport NL’s annual awards celebrate the highest level of sporting achievement in Newfoundland and Labrador. This year, we had to change the way we do things and use technology and social media to help honor the exceptional athletes who are helping put this province on the map.” said Doug Fowler, President, Sport Newfoundland and Labrador.

“Recognizing these deserving athletes makes us very proud and we were determined to not let this year pass us by, regardless of the current health crisis.
