Haille Nickerson of the Memorial Sea-Hawks women’s basketball team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Jan. 5, 2020.
Nickerson led the Sea-Hawks to two weekend wins at home over the Dalhousie Tigers to open second semester play.
Saturday, Memorial downed Dalhousie 78-45. Nickerson posted a game-high 34 points and six steals, along with five rebounds and two assists.
The Sea-Hawks completed the weekend sweep of the Tigers Sunday with a 79-66 win. Nickerson had a game-high 26 points, as well as four rebounds, an assist and a steal.
She currently leads the AUS in points per game, averaging 24.3. The Sea-Hawks sit in sole possession of first place in the conference standings with an 8-2 record.

It was a different story for the men’s team as they lost 81-53 to Dal and fall to 5-4 on the season. Boris Ristanovic had 15 points for Memorial and David Foo 11.
