St. John’s Capitals are the 2019 provincial senior baseball champs. The Caps won their 20th title in the last 21 years with a 5-2 win over Gander Pilots Sunday. They win the best of seven series four games to two.
Greg Barry tossed the win Sunday and Nick Curran took the loss.
The top batter in the series was Redmond Hunt of the Caps and the Top Pitcher and Most Valuable Player was Scott Goosney of the Caps.
