CANADA NOW IN PLAYOFFS AT WORLD SOFTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

T H U R S D A Y

Team Canada downed South Africa 10-4 to improve to 7-0 at the world fast pitch softball championships. And finish first in Group B and move to the playoffs Ryan Boland went two for two with a double and one run batted in. Kyle Ezekiel and Brad Ezekiel also had a hit

W E D N E S D A Y

Canada has improved to 6-0 at the 2019 World Men’s fastpitch softball championships. They defeated Singapore 8-nothing in five innings. Shane Boland homered in this game. Sean Cleary was the winning pitcher and is now 3-0 on the tournament. He tossed a no hitter and struckout six in the four innings he tossed.

T U E S D A Y

Canada remains undefeated at the World men’s fast pitch softball championships.

In their toughest match of this tournament the Canadian team edged Venezuela 2-1. It was Jason Hills two run homer in the second inning that held up for the Canadian win.

M O N D A Y 

Canada won its third game and is now 3-0 at world men’s fast pitch softball championships.

 

The Canadian team get a solo home run from Stephen Mullaley in the third inning of the game.

 

Canada will now play Venezuela Tuesday at 9 am Newfoundland time. Venezuela is 4-0 at the tournament.

 

 

 

S U N D A Y

 

Canada has a 3-0 record at the World Men’s Fastpitch softball championships as they defeated Australia 4-1.

Sean Cleary tossed a  two hitter for the Canadians and also recorded 10 strikeouts.Brad Ezekiel went two for three for Canada which included a double.

At three o’clock island time Monday Canada will face the United States who are 2-1.

 

S A T U R D A Y 

Canada won it’s second game at the World softball beating Netherlands 12-0 in a game called after 5 innings. Kyle Ezekiel went one for two in the game.

F R I D A Y

First baseman Stephen Mullaley homered twice and produced four  runs to guide Canada to its first win of the World fast pitch softball tournament, 7-0, over Denmark in five innings. Mullaley’s second homer was a walk-off solo shot in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Sean Cleary and Scott Lieph combined for a three hitter, and a nine strikeout shutout. Cleary worked the first four innings, while Lieph pitched the fifth.
