Deer Lake Red Wings blasted the Corner Brook Royals 8-1 in the opening game of the West Coast Senior Hockey playoffs. Eight players shared in the scoring for the visiting Red Wings.
Mason Campbell, Lucas McKay,, Robbie Greene, Joshua Skinner, Ian Richardson, Luke Parsons,, Morgan Thorne and Brett Urghart shared in the scoring for the Red Wings.
Matt Colbourne replied for the Royals. Deer Lake were up 3-nothing after the first and 6-nothing heading to the third period.
